| | MAIN CLUB BULILDING OF KLASIS GOLF & COUNTRY HOTEL ISTANBUL | The traditional colonial stylc of the Club House was designed by the famous English architect, Peter Williams in collaboration with Sefik Birkiye. The main building utilizes a combination of stone and wood in Turkish architecture and is one of the world's largest club houses covering a full nine thousand square meters.
The Brasserie Restaurant at the Club House can seat 300 and serves select dishes of international cuisine at breakfast, lunch and dinner. .
The Member's Lounge is a place where you can sit and watch logs blazing in the fireplace during the winter and gaze out at the golf in summer. Its bar not only provides drinks but a selection of very tasty dishes as well. In the Member's Lounge you can play American or Three-Ball Billiards or have a game of cards.
The 19 the Hole Bar is the place to sip a drink after a challenging golf tournament.
The Entertainment Center not only has billiards but here one can find electronic games, tilt, air hockey and pin-ball machines as well. It also has an own bar.

The 18 hole, 73 par, 6200 metres golf course of the Klassis Golf & Country Club designed by one of the world's foremost golfers, Tony Jacklin,and entirely meets European norms and standards.
The number 2 hole, is te "Signature Hole" of Klassis Golf & Country Club. As the most difficult and the most challenging hole of the course, number 2 is 559 metres long and with water on the drive and the fairway slopes towards the water hasard.
As well as the Championship Course the Club also has a 9 hole Academy Course for those who are new to this very enjoyable and social sport. Under the supervision of our professionals, both Turkish and foreign golf instructors are available for golf tutoring on this training course.
Klassis Golf & Country Club also has a 230 metres long Driving Range and a Putting Green which are illuminated at night. English, French and Belgian experts were consulted during the design project stage thus ensuring that the course is both "exciting" and "balanced".
Having hosted PGA European Challenge Tour in 1997 and 1998 and PGA Seniors Tour in 1999, our Championship Course is the major venue for both international and local tournaments.

| | TECHNICAL FEATURES OF KLASIS GOLF & COUNTRY HOTEL ISTANBUL | Championship Golf Course
Turkey's first international golf course, 18 holes, par 73, 6200 metres. The course consists of four par 3, five par 5, and nine par 4 holes. The greens are on average 450 square metres and each hole has four 15m. x 7m. tees; one for new players, one for ladies, one for men and the other for professional players.
Academy Golf Course
The ideal course for those who are still new to the game. It has nine par 3 holes and measures 851 metres long. The greens on this course are 250 square metres on average.
Driving Range
The diving range is 230 metres long and 150 metres wide and has twenty mats plus space on grass tees for an additional fifteen players.
Putting Green
Has nine holes in approximately 800 square metres and includes two bunkers.
Golf Carts
There are 50 Golf Carts (2 pers. each) available at the course. Each has a sun shade and windshild. The carts run incredibly quietly and can barely be heard. (63 db. at 4 metres)
With all its features above, Klassis Golf & Country Club hosted a lot of both international and local organizations since 1995 and has been a leader in developing golf in Turkey.
| | GOLF AROUND THE WORLD & TURKEY | The Improvement of Golf in the World
Although there is no written document declaring when the first golf bit in the world bad been made, in a document dated 1297, ,it is reported that the game, first, bad been played by sailors from Nortli of Holland with the name 'Colf'.
The second ancient document belonging to golf history, is a document reporting that in the year 1457, golf had been forbidden by the King James XL, declaring that golf playing Scotch soldiers conldn't concentrate on their military formation. In the year 1750, golf rules had been packed up in a book by 22 golfers.
Following 1800's, golf started to take over in English Colonies like Canada, India, New Zealand, Australia, Honk Kong and USA. The first golf club in USA was founded in 1888, in New York. At the same time in Europe, Golf Courses were newly being spread.
The first golf clubs that were opened in Turkey are as follows; the first in Levent, Istanbul, the second in Ankara, the third one in Izmir, in 1921.
Golf Today
Today golf has become a well known sport branch and played by 50 million people all around the world. Every year 2 million people are travelling from one edge to the other edge of the world just to play golf. There are 27.500 golf courses present in the world.
Today, championships like British Open, US Open, Masters and US Professional Golfers Association are known as the biggest golf Championships and grouped under 'Grand Slam'.
Once in every two years, the Ryder Cup between the American Professionals and the Europcan Professionals is being held. The Europan Tour Challenge, one of the most important cups in Europe, was held for the first time in Turkey in Klassis Golf & Country Club in the year 1997.
Specific to golf, Turkey has a special place too. Especially due to the effect of the rising tourism movements in Turkey, it is declared in the 6th 5-year-Progress-Plan of May 22,1989 that the golf investments should be supported.
In 1990, the first golf area have been in charge of investors, supported by the Ministery of Tourism. In 1995,
Klassis Golf & Country Club was founded.
Today there are 3 golf clubs in Istanbul, 4 in Antalya and 1 in Ankara. 3 Projects are on the way, and 15 of them are being planned.

Children who start the riding sport, will experience the excitement of developping a special friendship with Ponies and the feeling of sharing his/her most special secrets to another living creature in a peaceful and joyful environment.
Training and coaching the recently started riders is not the unique aim of Pony Club. Besides there would also be pedagojic education, with the aim of preventing junior riders from developping bad habits and keeping them away of social enviroments which may be harmful for them.Throughout the courses, the child will experience a special relation with the Pony, based on "trust".
At the same time children will learn importance of friendship, team work and sharing. During the activities at Pony Club, children will will have time with professional trainers both at manege and at stables and they will have time with professional trainers both at manege and at stables and they will take on responsibilities.
World of Pony and Shetland
As it is the case for all sportive activities it is important to start riding at as early ages as possible. That's how "Pony Club" idea had developped. Both because of their smallness in size and their sensitiveness and closeness to humanbeings, Ponies and Shetlands are used to train children on horse riding.
Children between age of 4-10 can attend Pony Club programmes. Since they are smaller and more sensitive, Shetlands are used as the first training horses for children between age of 4-10. Ponies are used for the training of cildren older than 10. Program agenda consists of activities such as animation, dressage, various games, jumping and trail riding.
Klassis Golf & Country Club also includes Voltige activity under Pony Club Program, for the first time in Turkey. Voltige is a type of horse - ride training for everyone from 7 to 77 without any age limitation. Word definition is, the whole of gymnastic figures which is done with the horse. Although Voltige sounds to be hard, even somebody who didn't ever ride a horse can easily stand up on the horse, can ride horse back, jump over the horse while running alongside with the horse and so many various exciting figures.
Objective of the Voltige activity is to relax both the horse and the rider and also to show juinor beginners that there is no reason to get anxious from this sport. During the Voltige courses, rider shall learn and develop the balance.
| | PROGRAM SERTIFICATES OF KLASIS GOLF & COUNTRY HOTEL ISTANBUL | Children will get first the Shetland Bronz,the Shetland Silver and the Shetland Gold degrees and sertificates after the oral and practical exams which they would experience throughout the courses. After then training will continue with bigger Ponies and they would get degrees in a range of 1-7. Ponies can be grouped in 4 main categories. As the child gets older and the performance shown gets better, both his/her degree and the category of the Pony he/she rides will increase as well.
Pony Club program, will be run in two groups as morning session and afternoon session every day excluding Monday. You can attend Pony Club programs by either purchasing mothly packages or by making individual reservations for Pony Club hours.
Parents who wish to register their children and to get detailed information shall call Klassis Golf & Country Club. Depending on the number of attendants and requests, service bus can be taken into consideration.

It is almost impossible to make a full list of all of the sports opportunities that await the enhnsiast at the Klassis Golf and Country Club.
The olympic sized outdoor swimming pool situated in front of the club house is the ideal site for water gymnastics, under the supervision of a coach. The olympic swimming pool has its own cafeteria and children's pool.
Additionally, there is a semi-olympic pool in front of the Golf Hotel which has its own snack bar, water slide, and children's pool.
There are four tartan tennis courts. Two of these courts have been lighted for the night time contests. The basketball- volleyball- mini football compact courts are perfect sites for a perfect match.
There are a number of gear-driven mountain bikes of various sizes available at the Club that you can use either on land or through the woods.
There are 2 American and 2 three-ball billiard tables available at the member's Lounge.
